BCCT Insight Debate: Factories of the Future: Humans in Charge or AI in Control?

Thank you to everyone who joined us for BCCT Insight Debate: “Factories of the Future – Humans in Charge or AI in Control?” on 13 November 2025 at BCCT Office.

Hosted by the BCCT Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics Working Group, this session discussion on the evolving balance between human expertise and AI-driven decision-making in modern manufacturing.

Our featured speakers, Nicholas Doyle, and Noah Shepherd, shared deep insights on global production trends, operational excellence, Industry 4.0, and the real-world impact of automation and AI across regional factories.

Our live poll revealed a clear sentiment: 73.7% disagreed that, in factories of the future, AI—not humans—will be the real decision maker. A powerful reminder that while AI continues to shape our industries, human leadership and judgement remain at the core.
Special thanks ACCA Mainland SEA, represented by George Thomson for supporting this session.

We hope you left with fresh perspectives and a deeper understanding of where the future of manufacturing is heading.
