Bangkok, Thailand, 11 November 2024 – dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok, in collaboration with The Embassy of the Republic of Peru, is delighted to announce the Mucho Gusto Peruvian Fest, a vibrant two-day celebration showcasing the rich flavours, cultural heritage, and lively spirit of Peru.

On 30 November and 1 December 2024, seven guest chefs from across Asia will come together to offer a series of special dining events and interactive workshops, creating an unforgettable journey into the heart of Peruvian cuisine, music, and art.

The festivities will commence on 30 November with a Peruvian Cooking Class at The Food School, Thailand’s first multinational culinary school, where Chef Hugo Rueda, who leads the kitchen at the Peruvian Embassy in Japan, will teach Nikkei Ceviche, and Chef Juan David Jacome of Ceviche 210 in South Korea, will guide participants through the classic Causa de Pollo (THB 3,500 net per person).

In the evening, the culinary journey continues with a special ‘Journey Through Peruvian Cuisine’ dinner across three of dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok’s vibrant dining outlets – Dusit Gourmet, Bebidas Pool Bar, and Mimi’s Rooftop.

Chef André Nweh Severino from Nómada, Dusit Thani Hua Hin and Baan Dusit Thani in Bangkok, will lead the dining experience at Dusit Gourmet, masterfully combining Peruvian and Japanese influences in dishes such as Causa de Pollo & Scallop Nikkei. He will be joined by Chef Rodrigo Serrano from the Sheraton Cebu in the Philippines, renowned for his Arroz con Pato, a rich confit duck and rice dish, and Chef Abel Ortiz from Hong Kong’s Chullschick, who will delight guests with Sweet Picarones, traditional Peruvian doughnuts.

At Bebidas Pool Bar, Chef Hugo Rueda will present Tamal Verde, a vibrant tamal in green sauce; and Chef Santiago Fernandez, from Thailand’s Buenazo, will showcase Ceviche Clásico.

Last but not least, at Mimi’s Rooftop, Chef Franco Aldana from Malaysia’s Feliz will present Pan con Chicharrón, a flavourful pork sandwich with pickled onions, and Chef Juan David Jacome will bring his renowned Pulpo al Olivo, an octopus dish with a rich olive sauce.

Special activities during the three dinners include face painting, a pisco Sour cocktail experience by The Food School at Bebidas, live music by Roberto Uno at Dusit Gourmet, and a DJ spinning afrobeat tunes at Mimi’s Rooftop.

The ‘Journey Through Peruvian Cuisine’ dinners are priced at THB 990 net (Dusit Gourmet), THB 550 net (Bebidas), and THB 660 net (Mimi’s Rooftop). A three-venue dinner ticket is available for THB 1,950 (saving THB 250).

Food lovers can also enjoy eight chef-curated Peruvian dishes as part of a Naughty Fork Brunch on Sunday, 1 December at Dusit Gourmet. Priced at only THB 1,800 net, this hearty feast will feature live cooking stations and a bounty of fresh seafood on ice. With the expert guidance of the renowned guest chefs, it promises to be an unforgettable dining experience, capturing the heart and soul of Peruvian cuisine.
