AN IDEAL EMPLOYER: WHAT IS IT?
ANCOR Thailand celebrated the success of The Talentist event where Employer Branding Awards 2023 in Thailand were announced and analytics on the labor market were presented.
On October 20th, 2023, the “Talentist” event was held at the C-Asean Auditorium, CW Tower, where the results of the employer brand perception research “The Talentist” by ANCOR were presented. The top 5 factors when choosing an employer were named: attractive salary - 62%, financial stability of the organization - 61%, career opportunities – 61%, long-term job security - 61%, and pleasant work atmosphere with 60%. The most popular industries to work for were Home Appliances & Electronics, Automotive, and Transportation.
In the event a ceremony was held to award the most attractive employers in Thailand. Based on the results of the study, which involved 5,000 respondents across the country, the attractiveness of 150 largest companies from 13 industries was assessed. Microsoft was listed as the most attractive employer in Thailand, while Mercedes-Benz captured the second place, followed by ABB as a third place. In addition to that, the final list included 139 companies that overcame the 10% barrier of recognition among the population.
Leaders for each industry were also named:
Dmitry Gusev, Managing Director of ANCOR Thailand, expressed gratitude, saying, "The Talentist Event - Employer Branding Awards 2023 exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled with the positive response from the industry. The event served as a catalyst for meaningful conversations and collaborations, and we are proud to have provided a platform to honor organizations that are leading the way in employer branding."
Faizan Ahmed, Head of Human Resources & Admin of ANCOR Thailand stated, “The Talentist Event – Employer Branding Awards 2023 was a great success. Employer branding is a core pillar within the HR function that directly impacts the perception of the company to external stakeholders. Given the vastly competitive environment and limited high potential talent in the market, it has never been more important for organizations to gauge their current employer brand, identify gaps against their positioning and develop interventions to reach their objectives. The research presented many insightful and thought-provoking facts that can be critical factors in helping companies develop or re-evaluate their EVP/ Employer brand to be in line with business strategy/ growth targets.”
Gareth George, Head of Recruitment of ANCOR Thailand, has said, “It has further cemented our thoughts on recruitment trends in that more companies are focusing on non-monetary benefits to improve employee engagement and improve staff retention. Candidates are valuing work flexibility, training and professional development opportunities as much as increases in salaries when looking for a new position. And when they are looking for a job, recruitment agency contributed 28% compared to other job search channels according to the research. Thus, we, as one of the leading recruitment and outsourcing companies in Thailand with more than 15 years of experience, are ready to find the right talent to help elevate your business to the next level.”
