This session emphasises the critical role of effective communication in leadership. Participants will explore common barriers to communication and learn strategies to overcome them. Through active listening exercises and feedback mechanisms, attendees will enhance their communication skills, ensuring clear and constructive interactions within their teams. The session concludes with a discussion on the importance of maintaining open lines of communication to foster a positive organisational culture.

1. Introduction to Communication in Leadership (30 mins)
      o Importance of clear communication.
      o Common communication pitfalls.
2. Barriers to Effective Communication (30 mins)
     o Identifying personal and organisational barriers.
     o Group discussion on experiences.
3. Active Listening Skills (1 hour)
      o Techniques for improving listening.
      o Role-playing exercises.
4. Feedback Mechanisms (30 mins)
      o Providing constructive feedback.
      o Encouraging upward feedback.
5. Wrap-Up and Q&A (30 mins)

The "Back to Basics - Using Common Sense in Leadership and Management" training program consists of five comprehensive online sessions designed to enhance essential skills for effective leadership and management.

In today's rapidly changing business environment, many leaders and managers may find themselves overwhelmed by complex strategies and technologies, leading to a disconnect from fundamental principles.
