Background: 

Since Thailand’s demographic has shifted towards an older population, the need for advanced and effective ageing care solutions has never been more pressing. Department of Business and Trade (DBT), British Embassy, Bangkok is proud to host " Re-imagining UK Ageing Care Event " on April 4th. This landmark event is dedicated to unveiling the latest advancements and best practices in elderly care developed by the UK enterprises.

The UK has long been at the forefront of healthcare innovation, with a rich history of pioneering approaches that enhance the quality of life for the elderly. From cutting-edge technology to community care initiatives, the UK's contributions to ageing care are both diverse and impactful.

This showcase event is designed to bring together healthcare professionals, innovators, and stakeholders from Thailand and the UK to exchange knowledge, explore collaborative opportunities, and set new benchmarks in ageing care.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness first-hand the UK’s state-of-the-art latest technologies and services ranging from innovative vaccines to holistic care models that prioritise mental and physical.

Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive exhibitions, " UK Reimaging Ageing Care Event" aims to spark dialogues, actions, and foster partnerships between 2 countries, ensuring that every individual can enjoy a life of dignity, health, and happiness. 

Objectives: 

  • To generate new business pipelines for attending companies.
    • To increase public awareness of the UK’s ageing care offerings through key opinion leaders (KOLs), press and social media.  
  • To establish a UK stronghold in Thailand’s ageing care market
  • To upsell current pipelines to existing and prospective buyers

    • UK Ageing Care Businesses: 5-10 companies
  • Public: 200 high-profile foreign retirees
    • Buyers: 90 representatives from public and private sectors e.g., private hospitals, medical schools, nursing home, insurance companies, Department of Older Persons, Bureau of Elderly Health etc.  
    • Association/ Agencies: 10 representatives e.g., Senior Health Service and Trade Association, Thailand Elite, British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, The British Club, Tourism Authority of Thailand etc.
