BCCT PDPA EVENING BRIEFING
Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) will come into force on June 1, 2022. With no further postponements expected, all businesses operating in Thailand must be fully prepared for compliance by that date if they are to avoid the risk of penalties under this landmark piece of legislation.
To this end, British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) is collaborating with leading Southeast Asian law firm Tilleke & Gibbins to host an in-person event entitled, “7-Day Countdown: What to know about PDPA Enforcement”, to equip BCCT members—from SMEs to multinational corporations—with the information they need to get to grips with the PDPA.
Date: Tuesday 24th May 2022
Time: 6.00 - 8.30 pm
Cost: THB 1,000 for BCCT members and THB 1,500 for non-members including food, soft drinks, beer and wine.
Booking: by following booking link below
Payment: PRE-PAYMENT IS REQUIRED.
*Proof of negative ATK test taken within 48 hours of arriving at the event to be shown at registration. A simple photo of a negative result with something that indicates date/time included will suffice*.
At BCCT events all participants can freely and openly share ideas in a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment that encourages and inspires mutual respect and collaboration. Attendees, speakers, sponsors and others should treat all other attendees with dignity and respect. Misunderstandings sometimes do occur, and people should work things out between themselves in a courteous and respectful manner whenever possible. Otherwise, seek the advice of a member of the BCCT staff or board of directors, or a mutually trusted third party. Harassment of attendees is not tolerated in any form. If you feel threatened or violated as a result of intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct, please immediately notify a member of the BCCT staff or board of directors.
