BCCT Young Professionals - Lessons in Leadership

Companies that have great leadership can make all the difference. A great leader motivates and inspires, they listen to and empower their teams, they foster a sense of belonging and worth, and they engender a greater loyalty to the business and its brand. In contrast, working for a bad leader can be a demotivating and frustrating experience.

But what makes a great leader? What kind of leadership styles are there and how do you incorporate your own personality and style into becoming an effective leader?

In this BCCT Young Professional’s event, we will hear from the leaders of two world-renowned British businesses located in Thailand; HSBC and AstraZeneca.

They will speak about:

  • the leaders that they had at the start of their careers and how it has influenced their style of leadership today
  • the challenges and doubts they faced and how they overcame them
  • the ways in which they have adapted their leadership (i.e. when leading more and more people, with increasingly complex layers of management reporting)
  • valuable insights and advice for any aspiring or current business leader
