1/12 - BCCT LUNCHEON ON REOPENING THAILAND TOURISM: IS THIS THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL?”

Following the Prime Minister’s declaration on country reopening roadmap from 1st November 2021, Thailand continues to welcome fully vaccinated visitors (foreign visitors or returning Thais and foreign residents) traveling by air from 73 countries/territories to the 17 ‘Blue Zone’ destinations under relaxed requirements including quarantine exemption from the 1st November onwards. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) anticipates 300,000 international tourists each in November and December 2021 and 10 million in 2022 – through the numbers are pretty far from 39 million international travellers in 2019 or before COVID but it sounds very promising roadmap of the country tourism industry.

This event is a great platform and opportunity for the audiences to perceive the insight information from Thai government sectors on their views, long-term roadmap and goals, including challenges and opportunities for Thailand’s hospitality industry to ensure the alignment and to shape the country tourism to the right path – premium quality and safe tourism.
