27/1 BCCT VIRTUAL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2022

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions in Bangkok the 2022 BCCT Annual General Meeting will be conducted virtually using Zoom from 12 noon to 1:30 pm on Thursday 27th January. The agenda is as follows:-

  1. To approve the draft minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday 28th January 2021 (accessed here
  2. To conduct the ballot to elect the Board of Directors for 2022 (candidate profiles accessed here
  3. To receive the 2021 Annual Report (to be posted on the BCCT website) 
  4. To adopt the 2021 Accounts (to be posted on the BCCT website) 
  5. To appoint an auditor for 2022
  6. Any other business

BCCT members have previously elected board directors through voting on the day at a physical AGM and advance votes. Due to the virtual nature of the AGM this year, voting will be conducted online using ‘Election Runner’. Direct from ‘Election Runner’, the main representative in each member company will receive an invitation to vote for a maximum 8 board directors. Instructions and voting ID are available on the ballot page once you have access to vote online.

The voting is open once you have received the invitation and the deadline for votes is 12.30 pm on Thursday 27th January 2022. Only one representative of a member company registered in Thailand may vote. Please make every effort to ensure that you or a representative of your company exercise your right to vote.

There will be a ‘hustings’ webinar on Thursday 20st January from 3.30 to 4.30 pm.
A ‘hustings’ is a ‘meeting at which candidates in an election address potential voters’ or ‘the campaigning associated with an election’. The candidates for election to the BCCT board of Directors will each deliver a 2-minute presentation.

NOMINATIONS TO THE 2022 BCCT BOARD

There are 16 candidates for election to the 8 available positions on the BCCT's Board of Directors for 2022. The first seven elected will serve 2 year terms. The 8th person elected will serve a one-year term

Member can vote a minimum of 3 candidates and a maximum of 8 candidates from the 16 nominees to be elected to the BCCT board of directors. One vote per member company.

The results of the election will be announced at the close of the meeting to ensure fairness, the order in which 2022 BCCT Board candidates are listed above was determined by the BCCT Membership staff randomly drawing names out of a hat.
