Background
Electricity from solar panels installed on buildings offers a path to cost saving and sustainability in energy supply. The continued price reductions for solar panels – some estimates put the decline at over 80% over the past 20 years – has put solar rooftops within the reach of both private and commercial customers.
 
Products or Services
Panphos offers a comprehensive service to operators of commercial, industrial and public buildings who want clean energy from rooftop installations now. Solar energy provides massive savings on electricity bills – sunshine is free -- and sustainability programmes are increasingly demanded throughout supply chains. A solar rooftop uses no additional ground space.

Our turnkey service includes any or all of design, specifications, certification, installation, environmental impact assessments, performance guarantees, maintenance, obtaining tradable renewable energy certificates, backup battery storage if required, and help to obtain any government incentives.

How to pay for the investment: a solar rooftop will probably cost less than you think, but some upfront payment will be needed for the equipment to generate the free electricity. Paying for the installation directly is by far the most profitable option – zero cost for external finance, payback can be as little as five years, and the return on investment above 40% -- but some organisations prefer not to use their own resources or capital budgets for what is a non-core activity. We can advise you on other options including PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and loans.
