Background
Oppidan mentors students to develop essential skills and improve academic outcomes. Our core team is made up of 17 people based by the River Thames in London.

Set up in 2016, we run both mentoring and tuition programmes for students between ages 7-21. Having built a strong business in the U.K, Oppidan Education has expanded to Seoul, the UAE and now Thailand.

Developed in response to a short termist, overly academic, tuition sector that was mistrusted by schools, Oppidan has sought to build a model of exceptional 1:1 support loved by kids, endorsed by schools and trusted by parents.

Whilst we focus on both academic and skills programmes, Oppidan’s mentors (mainly former teachers but also trainee therapists, writers, civil servants) are trained in the same pedagogical model developed by our in-house team.
 
Products or Services
Our mentoring in schools prepares students for exams and inspires them for life beyond school. Programmes can be delivered as standalone days or in combination as a 'Journey'. Almost all the schools we work with do so in a 'Journey' format.

We work with many of the UK's leading schools such as Eton, Godolphin &Latymer, Dulwich College and Harrow and many leading MATs such as Dixons, E-ACT and DRET.

Oppidan also works with hundreds of students in a private capacity at home, providing support for UK entrance exams, 11+ and the ISEB, 13+, Common Entrance, IGCSE, A-Level and IB.

Our programmes are relevant for all international students no matter their target school or university.

Our programmes include both mentoring (for character development and study skills) and subject specific tuition (mainly in the humanities such as English, History, languages and Geography).
