Background
The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. We support peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and countries worldwide. We do this through our work in arts and culture, education and the English language. We work with people in over 200 countries and territories and are on the ground in more than 100 countries. In 2022–23 we reached 600 million people.

We have been in Thailand since 1952 and currently established three offices in Thailand; two in Bangkok and one in Chiang Mai. We are committed to developing relationships between UK and Thailand through our work English, Education, and Arts.
 
Products or Services
We work predominantly in three major areas, English language, higher education and science, and arts and culture. We welcome exciting opportunities to create a greater impact with new partnerships and collaboration. Through our range of programmes, we are able to share UK expertise in academic and professional opportunities through:

- English courses for adults and young learners delivered by highly qualified teachers across a range of levels and course types
- Customised English training and assessment programme for corporate
- Opportunities to engage with UK education institutions from schools through to colleges and universities
- Access to the best of UK English, schools and professional qualifications including IELTS
- Connections between Thailand and the UK through collaborations in education, arts and culture, and the creative industries.
