PROPERTY & INFRASTRUCTURE

Objectives: To provide information to BCCT members on the Thai Property Market and Infrastructure projects from both a corporate and members’ personal perspective.

2025 Overview:

Activity has been relatively limited as we transition into planning mode for the remainder of the year. This provides a good opportunity to reassess priorities and ensure that upcoming sessions are aligned with current market dynamics and member interests.

Looking ahead, our focus will be on:

  • Identifying and securing high-quality speakers for upcoming events
  • Curating relevant and timely topics for the sector
  • Strengthening engagement within the committee

Plans in 2026

To move this forward, a meeting will be scheduled in the coming weeks to discuss the roadmap for the rest of the year, align on key themes, and allocate responsibilities for speaker outreach.

As a starting point, here are a few event concepts that could potentially be explored:

  1. Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC): Investment, Infrastructure & Industrial Transformation: Focus on the evolution of the Eastern Economic Corridor, including incentives, logistics infrastructure, industrial clusters (EV, electronics, aviation), and implications for real estate and urban development.
  2. U-Tapao & Thailand’s Aviation-Led Development Strategy:  A deep dive into U-Tapao International Airport and the broader airport-city / aerotropolis model—connectivity, cargo, MRO hubs, and adjacent mixed-use opportunities.
  3. Wellness, Hospitality & Luxury Real Estate in Thailand:  Exploring Thailand’s positioning as a global hub for wellness tourism and branded residences—covering Phuket, Samui, and Bangkok luxury segments, operators, and investor appetite.
  4. Transit-Oriented Developments (TOD) & Bangkok Urban Expansion: Impact of mass transit expansions (BTS/MRT extensions) on land value, mixed-use density, and new CBDs.
  5. Data Centers & Digital Infrastructure in Thailand:  Rising demand driven by cloud, AI, and regional positioning—land, power, and investment considerations.
  6. ESG & Green Buildings: From Compliance to Value Creation:  How sustainability is shaping design standards, tenant demand, and financing in Thai real estate.
