BCCT Board of Directors Visit DBD

Driving policy reform starts with dialogue.

BCCT Chair Aime Pinyapa Somphong from TWLS Law (TWL Law Group), BCCT Vice Chair BCCT Nattinee Netraumpai from Unilever Thai Trading Co., Ltd, BCCT Executive Director Greg Watkins MBE, BCCT Board Director Alvin Liew Voon Siong, ACMA, CGMA, FCPA (Aust) from PCS Security and Facility Services Limited, BCCT annual partner Natt Silsamrit from Prudential Life Assurance Public Company Ltd. (Thailand) along with BCCT Policy Managers Netima T. and Thitipa Laxanaphisuth had an honour of meeting Mrs. Auramon Supthaweethum, Director-General of Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce and her team.

Key discussions focused on:

1. Skill Development: Proposing a skill development programme to enhance cross-sector expertise for DBD officials.

2. Policy Recommendation: Submitting a proposal to the DBD for developing secondary legislation under the Foreign Business Act (FBA) to streamline processes and attract foreign business investment.

3. Online Licence Application: Sharing knowledge on the new digital licensing system for smoother implementation.

The meeting highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing policy reform and strengthening Thailand’s business environment.
