Bangkok, 1 September 2025 – Bangkok’s most celebrated dining room enters a bold new era this September as Le Normandie reopens on 20 September 2025 under Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef. The iconic restaurant, a reference for French cuisine since 1958, now begins an exciting chapter that combines its heritage with Chef Pic’s distinctive artistry.

This is Anne- Sophie Pic’s first and only restaurant in Thailand, introducing her signature culinary philosophy to one of Bangkok’s most storied dining rooms on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Expect emotion-led cuisine – delicately layered flavours, unexpected pairings, and a delicate refinement that defines her style. Guided by her philosophy, Suffusion, each dish creates harmony between ingredients through aromatic connections, for a dining experience that feels intimate yet inventive.

“I believe cuisine is a universal language – a space where cultures meet,” said Anne-Sophie Pic. “Opening a new chapter at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, an icon of elegance and refinement, is a thrilling adventure. I look forward to creating an experience where French gastronomy engages in a dialogue with the vibrant energy of Thai culture.”

With three Michelin stars at her flagship restaurant, Maison Pic in Valence, and accolades including Best Restaurant in the World by Tripadvisor in the Best 2024 Ranking, Chef Pic brings unmatched creativity to Bangkok’s culinary stage – a natural fit for Mandarin Oriental’s tradition of excellence.

The restaurant itself has been completely reimagined by Humbert & Poyet, blending the restaurant’s iconic charm and elegance with a fresh contemporary aesthetic.

Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie opens on 20 September 2025. Reservations are now open for this milestone moment in Bangkok’s dining scene.

About Pic Group

For over 30 years, Anne-Sophie Pic, together with her husband David Sinapian, who oversees the group’s management and strategy, has worked to develop and grow the Pic Group, guided by values of boldness, curiosity and sensitivity. In 1997, the duo took over Maison Pic, continuing three generations of triple-Michelin-starred chefs, while infusing the family legacy with their contemporary vision of gastronomy.

They transformed Pic Valence into a destination of wonder and emotion, bringing together the worlds of the Relais & Châteaux Pic hotel *****, the André bistro, the Bar Pic and the three-starred Restaurant Pic***, named Best Restaurant in the World by Tripadvisor in 2024.

They also created the Pic Lab, a culinary innovation hub where  Anne-Sophie collaborates with her teams to craft her latest creations. While Valence remains the heart of the group, Pic now has a global presence with over 600 employees. In Lausanne, Paris, Dubai, Hong-Kong  or Osaka, Chengdu and Ginza, Anne-Sophie Pic and David Sinapian conceive, each location as a stage for extraordinary gastronomic experiences, where every craft—culinary, hospitality, design—converges to bring the chef’s vision to life. The Pic Group also stands out for its culinary expertise at prestigious events, from the 2023 State Banquet for King Charles III at the Château de Versailles to the Grand Dîner du Louvre in 2025, further cementing its place in the world of contemporary haute cuisine.
