Speakers: Suebsiri Taweepon: is a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) department and co-head of the firm’s technology industry group. He has been recognized by Asialaw Leading Lawyers as one of Asia’s leading lawyers in the area of IP, and by the WTR 1000 as one of the top trademark enforcement lawyers in Thailand. He has a great deal of experience in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters, with a particular focus on tech-related matters, including intellectual property litigation, enforcement, and licensing; managing portfolios; and registering IP rights. Suebsiri is also regularly involved in government consultations and has a great deal of experience in anticounterfeiting matters, including investigations and coordinating raids. Suebsiri is co-chair of the Emerging IP Rights Committee of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA). He is also an adjunct lecturer, teaching IP law at one of Thailand’s most prestigious universities and several others in the jurisdiction. Suebsiri is also a prolific author of legal publications and a regular speaker at domestic, regional, and international conferences. Ploynapa Julagasigorn: is an attorney-at-law in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group. Her practice encompasses a wide range of intellectual property matters, including conducting infringement analysis, drafting cease-and-desist warning letters, coordinating with government authorities in raid actions, and other enforcement measures. She assists both domestic and international clients with legal compliance issues. Ploynapa received her law degree from Thammasat University. She obtained a master’s degree from Chulalongkorn University. Ploynapa speaks Thai, English, and Korean fluently. |
