Electric vehicle and electrification ecosystem are seen as the future of mobility and beyond. Speaker Antoine Barthes, President of Nissan Motor (Thailand) will discuss the future of electric vehicles in Southeast Asia as well as their benefits, Seamless Autonomous Mobility (SAM) (Brain-to-Vehicle Technology).
About the speaker:
Antoine Barthes is President of Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. In his role, Barthes is responsible for developing business strategies to maximize Nissan’s overall performance, managing product introduction and significantly increasing the presence and accessibility of the Nissan brand in pursuit of its ambition to be a major player in the country’s automotive sector. He also oversees manufacturing at the plant in Thailand catering to the domestic market as well as exports to more than 100 countries.
Barthes has a consistent record of high performance and extensive experience in automotive industry and in Nissan. He joined Nissan Europe in 2002 and has worked in several sales and marketing roles in various locations across Europe and the Middle East. He is a former Managing Director of Nissan Central Eastern Europe, Ltd. based in Budapest, Hungary and has been appointed as the President of Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. since October 31, 2016.
Barthes is at the forefront of EV leadership and automotive innovation, working to introduce groundbreaking electrification, including the pioneering Nissan LEAF, to Thailand’s automotive sector.
