About the speaker: 

At the CIPD, Emma works closely with organisations and individuals in Asia to help highlight strengths and areas for improvement and offer solutions to meet these needs.

Her recent work includes helping global organisations define their strategic HR priorities and purpose of their HR function and work on the CIPD professional standards framework.  Emma is currently supporting a project in benchmarking competencies to identify strengths and focus investment for HR capability development using digital HR qualifications.  She also works on HR and L&D career pathways projects and designing 70:20:10 development strategies supported by a coaching culture. 

Emma’s HR experience in Asia and Europe includes working with culturally diverse organisations, performing capability and productivity diagnostics, identifying and addressing skills gaps and leading HR and L&D Teams to overcome their challenges.  She has been responsible for global HR and L&D strategy, policy design and implementation particularly in the areas of coaching and mentoring, staff wellbeing and engagement and individual and organisational development. She is passionate about helping individuals and organisations to fulfil their potential through engagement. Her past work was awarded the UK Department of Trade & Industry Regional finalist in recognition of this.
