Subject | 28/10 - UNICEF Thailand "Supporting Working Parents with Paid Parental Leave" |
*From UNICEF Thailand UNICEF Thailand is pleased to invite BCCT members to our upcoming event, “Supporting Working Parents with Paid Parental Leave: Status, Sharing Experiences, and Next Steps” hosted by UNICEF Thailand, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, and the UN Global Compact Network Thailand (GCNT) on 28 October 2024 09:00-12:00 at Room Surasak 1, Eastin Grand Sathorn Hotel. UNICEF Thailand has conducted a study titled “Rapid Assessment of Paid Parental Leave Benefits in Thailand”. This study explores the experiences of both employers and employees from companies that offer paid parental leave beyond the requirements of Thailand’s Labour Protection Act, and its positive impact on business operations, as well as the well-being of working parents and their children. The event aims to present the findings of this Rapid Assessment and bring together key stakeholders to discuss the significance of family-friendly policies, including paid parental leave, in Thailand. We believe this event could be interesting for a business leader or HR practitioner trying to make workplaces that are inclusive and promote gender equality, and any working parent trying to balance between work and family care duties. Please find attached the draft concept note and program and the event flyer. The registration link is also available here: https://forms.office.com/e/2jXdGyNumC, by 21st October. Lunch and interpretation will be provided. There is no cost to join the event. Please feel free to circulate among your wider network.
