On Tuesday 24th January the BCCT Legal & Taxation Group organised a lunch on the topic Brexit, The Law & Parliament. The guest speaker was Adrian Keeling QC, a London based barrister (pictured), from No5 Chambers, London. Adrian looked at the issues in thre case, and the legal background and analysed what the judgement may mean. This included its effect of it on all parts of the UK; in particular the regional assemblies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It also considered what other ramifications there might be. The event explored what steps the government might take, assuming that its appeal was defeated.
