COMMERCIAL BANKS' ANNUAL HOLIDAYS FOR 2008 (B.E. 2551)

By Virtue of the provision of section 17 of the 
Commercial Banking Act B.E. 2505 and its amendments, 
section 37 and section 56 of the Act on Undertaking of 
Finance Business, Securities Business and Credit 
Foncier Business B.E.2522 and its amendments, the 
Bank of Thailand hereby announces banks, finance 
companies and credit foncier companies’ holidays for 2008.

 8. Mon 19 May Visakha Bucha Day
 9. Tue  1 Jul Mid Year Closing Day

Note : For commercial banks, finance companies, and 
credit foncier companies in the Narathiwat, Pattani, 
Yala and Satun, an extra holiday is given for the 
Eidilfitri Day (Ramadan Day) announced by the 
Sheikhul Islam Office if it does not fal on any of 
the holidays listed above or Saturday and Sunday.

Note : The Cabinet’s approval on 1st May 2001, 
stated that the Government offices are entitled to 
observe holidays in lieu, in the case that certain 
holidays decent on any day at the weekend, the 
Government employees are therefore entitled not 
more than one day to be substituted to the following 
working day.
