Note: The Cabinet's approval on 1st May 2001, stated that the 
Government offices are entitled to observe holidays in lieu, 
in the case that certain holidays decent on any day at the 
weekend, the Government employees are therefore entitled not 
more than one day to be substituted to the following working day.



COMMERCIAL BANKS' ANNUAL HOLIDAYS FOR 2005 (B.E. 2548)

By Virtue of the provision of section 17 of the Commercial Banking 
Act B.E. 2505, and its amendments, the Bank of Thailand hereby 
announces the commercial banks holidays for 2005 as follows;

1.  Mon  3 Jan Substitution for New Year's Day (Sat 1 Jan)
2.  Wed 23 Feb Makha Bucha Day
3.  Wed  6 Apr Chakri Day
4.  Wed 13 Apr Songkran Festival
5.  Thu 14 Apr Songkran Festival
6.  Fri 15 Apr Songkran Festival
7.  Mon  2 May Substitution for National Labour Day (Sun 1 May)
8.  Thu  5 May Coronation Day
9.  Mon 23 May Substitution for Wisakha Bucha Day (Sun 22 May)
10. Fri  1 Jul Mid Year Closing Day
11. Fri 22 Jul Buddhist Lent Day
12. Fri 12 Aug H.M. the Queen's Birthday
13. Mon 24 Oct Substitution for Chulalongkorn Day (Sun 23 Oct)

Note: For Commercial Banks in the provinces of Narathiwat, 
Pattani, Yala and Satun, an extra holiday is given for the Eidilfitri Day 
(Ramadan Day) announced by the Sheikhul Islam Office if the day does not 
coincide with the above mentioned holidays or Saturday and Sunday.
